poems Back to Poem Index - a tribute to the art and artists of poetry Poet-Tree © 2000 Tim Mainka Flipside of the day ceases the basking of grapes, former feelings of dandelions in the morning dew, harvesting heed unto the scroll of word spells--- the magic of mesmerizing ink trails, animated charms of leaping characters dancing enchanting the evening engrossed in, while pensive pupils, pools of pondering pour potions of night hues unseen Imagination of venerable dignity--- as an eagle, the soaring seer scribing verses of virtue the alluding hand that threads time unto the four winds while stitching space unto the wings of time, the unfading feather from fur-trading log cabins and side streams near lakes upon lakes, the song sparrow settling, nestling high bridging branches; to rest a humble nest upon the unceasing poet tree The treasured trunk of old sheds tales to be told The fruit of now sews seeds of our seeing the great root of then entwines our pen A leaf of new sprouts lyrical dreaming...     Copyright © Now SonicFreedom.com - Sonic Freedom All rights reserved.
